What the tool checks

Vector vs raster

A vector file describes paths (curves, fills): it scales without loss. An embedded raster image is a frozen photo of pixels, unfit for printing, cutting or embroidery.

Dual analysis engine

We read the file structure (PDF XObjects, PostScript operators, Illustrator markers) and separately render the image / vector / text layers with Ghostscript to measure the real raster share.

Layers & text

We list the layers (Illustrator / OCG), pinpoint which one holds a raster image, and spot text left “live” with a non-embedded font, to be outlined (“create outlines”) before delivery.
