Your logo, as large as it fits
Drop an Illustrator (.ai), EPS, PDF or SVG logo. You get both sheets at once, Matrimax and Upholstery, with the logo placed exactly the same on the two, in solid black, and a PDF for each.
The rules these sheets follow
- The same placement on both templates. One placement box, 5.0” × 3.5”, centred on the sheet, on Matrimax as on Upholstery. Until September 2026 Matrimax placed the logo inside its own marks and Upholstery inside its dashed box: the same logo came out 4.5 % bigger on one than on the other, for no reason anyone could name.
- It never touches a line. The dashed box, 5.5” × 4.0”, is the maximum size of the logo, drawn where the Upholstery sheet has drawn it since 2019, 1/8” inside the placement marks (5.75” × 4.25”). The logo stops 1/4” short of the dashed box on all four sides, and so 3/8” short of the marks. That clear space is checked on every proof, not merely intended.
- As large as it fits, centred on the sheet. The logo is scaled up until it touches its placement box on one side, keeping its proportions. The seven Matrimax proofs made by hand are all centred within five thousandths of a point of the sheet centre: that part was already right, the size was not, ranging from 65 % to 97 % of the space available.
- Black, always. A colour logo is switched to solid black, vector throughout, spot colours included. These sheets are cut, printed or embroidered in one colour.
- White is the background. A logo that paints its background or the inside of its letters white hides what lies beneath, and hands the workshop a white shape to print or stitch. That white is removed when we can check, pixel by pixel, that nothing else about the drawing changes; otherwise it stays, and the page says so. The corrected logo is handed back to you separately.
